Catherine began dancing at the age of five and won't stop. Trained in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Contemporary and Lyrical, she started at West Coast Dance and continued dancing at Gaile Meade School of Performing Arts and Southern Cross Dance. She competed in competitions and completed exams in Cecchetti, RAD and CSTD techniques in Ballet and Theatrical dance. Catherine's passion took her to Sydney in 2008 to study at Wesley Institute in their Bachelor of Dance program. Here she was introduced to Martha Graham, Release, Cunningham and Horton contemporary techniques by some of Australia's finest teachers and had to opportunity to dance alongside Nacho Pop and under Tiana Joubert (So You Think You Can Dance Australia). She returned to Perth in 2009 and began studying at WAAPA in their Bachelor program for Dance before deciding to pursue Physiotherapy at Curtin. Catherine is overwhelmed by The Dance Collective's passion and standard of dance and loves the opportunity to further her training and pass on what she has learnt over the years.
